Pen versus mouse

Have any of you guys had any experience with a pen, as opposed to a mouse for doing fine work in photoshop?
I can't seem to get the required dexterity from my mouse, and I was wondering about buying a pen.

I'm guessing this might be better served in the Forum section and not as a blog. I'm having the same considerations, but there's a part of me that doesn't feel like plugging in a bunch of stuff into my Mac just to get work done.

btw - a Wacom is AWESOME. If you're doing a lot of Photoshop manipulation then a Wacom will make a huge difference.

And yes, this really shouldn't be in the blog section. Unfortunately, I lack the power to move it.

I would be lost without my wacom tablet, I have been using a pen for several years and it is more accurate and sensitive than a mouse. Also I am much faster while using a pen, takes a little getting used to but then it's great.
