There were some comments and questions when I shared last week that I had bought it. I decided it was fair to show the size of the lens compared to some others I have. Personally I think Nikon did a remarkable job keeping the lens as compact as they did.
In a line, MC Z105mm f/2.8, Z14-24mm f/2.8, and Z24-70mm f/4.
Now next to my Zeiss 15mm f/2.8 Distagon. A manual focus F-mount lens. Using the FTZ-II adapter makes it longer than the Z14-24mm, but I needed that to use my 50mm f/1.8G to take photos with.
The Zeiss being all-metal is considerably heavier also. I will point out the Z14-24mm is close to the same size as the Z105mm, but weighs a little more. As pictured the Z24-70mm is parked in the storage position, it extends out close to the length of the Z14-24mm when in shooting position and is the longest of them all extended to 70mm.
