This is a newborn I photographed this week - he isn't actually due until tomorrow

Isn't it amazing? New life that is. The "new" smell. Perfect skin.
And then they grow into toddlers, and the only thing you can smell is a collation of burps, up-chuck that is still ingrained into the lounge 6 months after the fact and those horrible stinking nappies, that no matter what they promise on the box, still leak. Everywhere.
But aside from the stench, babies provide us with so much more. The kind of unconditional love that only a parent could ever know. I can honestly say if my husband pooped his pants, wet the bet constantly or left dribbles on the toilet, I would definitely have to rethink our version of "unconditional love". But with my kids, I know it's something that I forgive so easily.
All it takes for me to melt is my Miss 3 to say 4 magic words: I love you Mummy.
Do you have kids too?
I have two. Miss 3 and a Mr 1. Absolute terrors.
