Need advice/opinions

I am looking to buy Nikon 18-105 lens for $210 refurbished by Nikon. Or 18-250 Sigma new for $400. It would be my walk around lens. I like to shoot little bit of everything. Thanks for advice and opinions.

I'm not sure of the Sigma lens, but I have the 18-105 and I love it. It came with my D7000 and I wasn't so sure when I got it how much I liked it. Now, 18 months later I cant imagine being without it. Of course, I do not take portraits, professional anything pcitures or get paid for my hobby. I take pictures of vacations, family get togethers, random nature shots and I even get good shots of soccer games and snowboard events because there is plenty of light.

I would say that is a very good choice for a walk around lens. Go for it!

Absolutely get the the 18-105. This is one lens you will never regret buying.

I bought the 18-105 Nikon a while back and never looked back... I was on a 10 day vacation and it only came off 4 times when I wanted the 300 for wildlife... My favorite lens for everday use.

I recently bought that lens as a refurbished and it stays on my camera 75% of the time now. You might want to look here to get the lens. price is about the same but you get a one year warranty with it. I got both my D5100 and the 18-105 zoom from them at different times and have been very happy with both.

i had the 18-105 and must say i wasnt fond of it. ive not tried that sigma but others ive tried I have liked.
