I have a nikon s230 touch screen camera and it wont take pictures?

have a nikon s230 touch screen camera and it wont take pictures?so it wont take pictures but it will record videos. everytime i try and take a picture it flashes an orange light by a picture of a lightning bolt

I know it's a long shot but have you tried resetting the camera back to defaults and formatting your memory card in camera
