Babbs Covered Bridge-2nd Shoot

So I went back to this site and the light was AM instead of PM and I used a 14-24 instead of a 24-70. The day was sunny and clear but there were some really nice puffy clouds instead of almost cloudless like the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] shoot. Here are a few preliminary results.

All very nice shots, but #1 and 4 are my favorites. In both shots it's the clouds. 4 is really slick because the cloud detail I'd in the water and not the sky where the tree hides it. That's a great barn to have to shoot.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking of going back again but I'm not sure how to go about it. The area is very constrained as you can see, so I've been using wide angle lenses. Also even on bright sunny days the foliage blocks the light to a great degree all the time. I'm wondering if you all have any ideas for this shoot that I'm missing. So far I've gone there in the early AM and late PM. I don't thing dawn or dusk works due to the obstructions. I was thinking of trying the fisheye next time.....Any suggestions in general?

It might be something you just have to camp out for the day and watch it to see how it develops and changes over the course of the day. I did exactly that with my waterfall shot, I was actually waiting for a bear primarily, but watched the light change the waterfall as the sun moved when I was rewarded with a rainbow color burst. I have yet to find someone whose seen this, but I simply had to just sit there and watch before I discovered it.
