An Experiment with the D3200

[FONT=Helvetica, Arial, lucida grande, tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif]I had never shot video with my Nikon D3200 before, so this was an experiment. The frames were all pulled from the same 56 second clip. The video is horrible quality. I discovered that recording video with this camera requires the camera to be tripod mounted. That said, there were about 1950 frames in the clip. That's an impressive 33+/- frames per second. I started sorting looking for flight. Then selecting frames that had focus. I kept 56 frames.

To begin, here is the video...

And then some of the frames....

All in all I'm pleased with the quality of the pulled frames, even though they are only video quality. I surely won't pursue this in the future because it took a huge amount of time and effort to do the sorting and editing, but it was fun and a decent result.

All depends how you edit. If you shoot a bit wider than the frame you want, you can always stabilize and crop to get a clean result.
