AF-area mode?

What mode do you usually shoot in? And for what reason?(AF-area mode)

Just experimenting with this, kinda curious to see what others are doing.

Depends. I know I'm out of the ordinary, but for most of what I shoot I use AF-S single point and use the focus and recompose technique. A holdover from my film days. I'll use AF-C 3D when shooting birds in flight or other action subjects.

Like Jake, "normal" for me is AF-A and single point, I want to pick the focus point in most cases... ( I will occasionally swith to matrix for some scenery stuff..

RockyNH, That's what I have mine set to as well.

So much to learn lol.

Maybe I'll make another post about metering modes a little later. The manuals are so limited on info, it's good to hear from other people.

Should be "stickies" on this stuff.
