(I'm on Windows 8.1) I should have stopped trying after it continually failed to install, but I didn't. And I really didn't want to call them on the first day and be experimented on. After lots of dead ends chasing error codes, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling. I thought that worked, but I had no dehaze tool, it was gone. I tried reinstalling again and the haze tool came back. Then I found I could only run Lightoom once, then it would never open again. Signing in and out did not help, but a reboot did. After some snooping, I found LR was still active in task manger even after exiting. Just for giggles, I tried unchecking the show add pictures box mentioned in the article above. It worked, so evidently its causing problems on windows as well. I can open and close LR all I want now.A new problem though, the Lightroom preferences window is too long, the whole height of my screen, so the OK, Cancel, and Restart Lightroom buttons are inaccessible behind my windows taskbar. I had to turn on taskbar auto hide so I could Ok the changes. I don't like auto hide. I'm not sure if this is a new LR problem or if something in windows got screwed up. I can't remember how it looked before the update, but I never had a problem hitting OK on the preferences screen. Also the launching of LR when a memory card is inserted is broke again even though the option is turned on. Lots of hours wasted today trying to work through this update. Grrrrr.</blockquote>
