Western Kingbird

Day 3 in the lives of these Avocet babies. They are eating and moving around the shore on their own. Mom isn't too far away, guarding but not supervising. It's amazing how advanced these babies are from the time they are born. Very independent.

I have been lucky enough to schedule three shows of my photos in the next few months, and I'm looking forward to it. I haven't done this in many years, so now I have to go through my pictures from the last 2-3 years and pick what I want to print. I'm having a really hard time narrowing it down...
