    As we speak, I'm in the process of integrating a new Seagate 8T drive... As to your question regarding SSD speed. Yes, they're fast. Very fast, when directly connected to a very fast USB port... those speeds drop off considerably when daisy-chained out thru a hub,,, I chose a Seagate Ironwolf...

    Interesting... Just tried my Z7II and it won't fire in Silent mode either... "You can't hear me, but I'm gonna flash this big honkin' light in your eyes"... I've tried S mode a few times and always go back to regular... I find myself spending more time checking and double checking my camera...

    if you've already turned off the 1/2 shutter focus, and the camera is still re-focusing, then you need to do a camera reset by pressing and holding the two buttons on the camera that have the small Green dots next to them. This is not a firmware issue.
