Thank you for the feedback. I've ordered the Nikon 60mm AF-S 2.8 ED for the tube project - but got carried away with Rodenstock, don't really know why - other than it could be fun :)

The two tubes in the pictures are 6CS7 and were used in several TV designs from the 60's. They're also popular in Japan for amplifier designs. The tubes you have from your father might be valuable depending on type. I'd be happy to look them up for you, but generally speaking TV tubes usually...
