Hi Everybody-

I was wondering if anybody can suggest an adapter to place on the bottom of a SB-600 so I can attach a receiver so I can wireless fire the flash. I'm sure it will be a small item and not to expensive either. thanks in advance for your help.

Sincerely- Douglas

The SB-600 comes with a stand that you can slide the flash into. Your D200 has Commander Mode, so you can remotely fire the flash. You don't need anything else....unless you want to fire more than three flashes.

Hi Fotojack-

I know about the commander mode but it uses the pop up flash to trigger the 600. I'm looking to fire it without a flash and use a transmitter. I want an adapter to place under it where I can insert the sync cord to a wireless receiver and fir it that way. I just don't know what the name or model number of the adapter would be. Thanks buddy!!!!

Yes, I know it uses the popup flash, but you can set that to -- so it doesn't fire, but still sets off the remote flash. Go to Custom Settings Menu, e Bracketing/Flash, e3 Built-in Flash, Commander Mode/Built-in and set it to "--". See how that works for you. :)

If you're looking for a transmitter and receiver type system, then you could use something like this: Radio Triggers

Hi Photojack-

Thanks for that tip. In the past I've been setting the on camera flash ti 1/128 power, but sometimes I need to have the flash only as the light and also, if the flash is in a difficult place, the on camera flash does not reach the speedlight and won't fire. I will deffinetly look fir the "--" option in my menu and let you know how it does. that was new to me, so I'm pretty excited.

Thanks !!!

Douglas
