Sunpak GX14, Nikon D7100 and Yongnuo RF 603N

Quite a title ...

I have this combination and want to know how to work out what the flash sync speed is.
Is it the same as my built in flash or do I need to make some sort of adjustment?

I would not do this. This is an older flash that could have 150 VDC or higher across the trigger. You could fry your camera

No worries there Steve. I have already checked that and it is well within the limits even if I place it directly in the hot shoe, which I don't. I only fire it on the Yongnuo as an off camera flash.

the 603 MK1 syncs low at 1/160 from what I remember. the MKII can do 1/250
that flash must take forever to recycle at full power.

LOL It probably is "forever" in today's world but so far it has been ok for my limited use. I have had it from way-back-when ...

Have been fiddling and with what I have read it seems to sync at 1/250th or lower. So all good. Going to take it out and for a spin tonight

Have fun with it. I've been playing around with remote flashes as well. There is a bit to learn alright.
