I'm going through a bout of gas and I just need a bit of clarification that could possibly cure me. I have a D7100 and a yonguno YN565EN. Is there any benefit using flash transmitters over setting the camera to commander mode and the flash to slave mode?

Radio transmitters eliminate the need for line of sight that commander mode requires. So the idea is you could use the YN656EN positioned behind the subject in order to have them stand out from the background.
