Bulb blew on SB 600 (Seeking Suggestions)

I was right at the beginning of taking some portrait shots of my JROTC cadets when my SB600 made a very loud pop. I assume that the build blew. I have researched and found several youtube videos describing how to replace it, but the only place on line I can find the bulb is eBay. I really don't like eBay, does anyone know of a supplier, or I would even consider sending it off for repairs. I live in the sticks so there is not a local shop that I trust. Seeking suggestions.

Be very cautious when working on Speedlights as they contain capacitors that store high-voltage energy even when the batteries are removed.

Good luck, doesn't look hard to do. And, as mentioned watch out for those capacitors, they can pack a punch if they haven't discharged.

Thanks for all the responses. It great to have such wonderful support from all of you. Yes, I am fully aware of discharging the capacitor, and have have already watched a few of the Youtube videos. I ordered the bulb yesterday and received noticed that it has been shipped. Next step is to go by my local Radio Shack and pick up the supplies needed, including a resister to discharge the capacitor. I'll let everyone know how it comes out.

Pone thing I did not mention is that the flash was given to me about a year ago. So the only money I'm out is the DIY repair, if all goes well.

I'm not sure how old, nor how much it was used before it was given to me. I got it about a year ago and have used it some, but not excessive.
