The F2 Awakens…

A fellow with whom I work, who is even more into photography than I am, and I, were having a conversation in which I mentioned that I have a wonderful old camera that probably won't ever again be used to take pictures, simply because I'm not really into all the fuss, delay, and expense of film, now that I have a decent digital camera.

So, he gave me an old roll of Tri-X to shoot, to be returned to him to be developed. I got the developed film back from him today, and have now scanned the negatives, and edited those images that I thought worthy of further attention.

What a throw back : ))!! My F2AS rarely ever sees fresh sunlight anymore ... I think I keep it as an interesting show piece to my glass lens/camera cabinet.

Yes, the F2 is on an upswing, and are cheap (at the moment). It is a solid camera, worth sending to Sover Wong to overhaul it and the Photonic finders. Soven even has a few Modifications for the Body and some of the Photomic finders.

Here are a few from my trip to the Indianapolis Zoo the other day... Nikon F2, DW-1, Nikon 24mm f/2.8 Ais, Tmax 400 @ 400, Tmax Developer 1:4
