My Experiences not posting correctly

I have posted several posts since 08/09/2021 that do not get entered in my experience profile. If I go to my Profile, then Experience, it shows no new activities since 8/9/21. However, if I go to my Activity Stream, there the posts are! This occurs on both Firefox and Google Chrome. Since everything else is working properly on my computer, I don't know how or what else to check. I am thinking it may be an issue with the Nikonites server. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks,
Brent Harritt (Bikerbrent)

I use MS Edge and I see activity for 8/10 and 8/14 when I go in your profile/experience.

Thank you Marilynne. I now do see 8/14 with Firefox, but not activity on 8/10 and 8/12. Apparently you are still not seeing the 8/12 activity. Perhaps with the 8/14 data being processed, it has been fixed now.

This is what I see under your Experience tab - I scrolled down to where it lists Activities. And this is with Chrome. Perhaps a corrupt cookie?

Oh wait - after looking at that other specific tab, you have more activity than what is indicated in my post above. No idea....

Thinking back to a new member who needed a certain number of experience points for something - I think jdeg might have said those get added at a later time (not instantly). It was something along that line. I wound up donating some of mine to the member.

Yesterday for a while I thought my problem was solved. I got credit for the following submissions (PM California time):

01:46
02:53
04:50
10.22

But, it missed my 7:49 PM posting. Then today, it recorded my 9:24 AM and 9:45 AM posting. I have felt for some time that occasionally some posting were skipped, but it did not really worry me. However when all of my postings were skipped for several days, it became an issue, and hence my posting of this question. I did send a message to the admin about this issue and got some makeup points, but I don't really want to continually pester the admin. I also have yet to receive any explanation of what is going on. Has anyone else noticed this skipping of postings or is it just me?

@Bikerbrent, having the same issue. Have posted on several threads over the last couple of days and only minimal points showing from yesterday under 'Experience' and absolutely zero from today the 16th despite posting.

Thank you for responding Peter. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that I am not the only person having this issue. It does confirm the issue is on Nikonites side, not my own PC.

Well yesterday, my 1:01PM post was ignored by the system, STILL. Would really like to know what is going on!

Couldn't agree more. I got a total of three points for 8 uploads and multiple posts over the last couple of days.

To make matters worse, the 'experience' tab has just disappeared from my account

Experience Tab missing, both by viewing on PC and Mobile phone:confused:

Maybe it's so why can't see all the points that are also missing ;)

UPDATE: The 'Experience' tab has reappeared but still no points.

The "Experience" seems to disappear and reappear for no apparent reason. I am reminded of the old FAR SIDE cartoon where 2 scientists are staring at a chalk board covered with mathematical equations and in the center of the board you see "THEN A MIRACLE OCCURS"!

I know this must be important in a photography forum, some how...but can someone explain to me what/how this experience thing actually brings to the table here?????????

In terms of photography - nothing!
in terms of discussion - nothing!
However I personally believe this forum is a well designed one based on other photography forums (The best actually!!). When someone join, I suspect most people scan the various parts of the forum and may then return to view some of these as a habit rather than a necessity. As a result when something fails to work properly it is a natural reaction to highlight it, but of course it is not the end of the world.

There are awards and achievements given out (and sometimes returned and given to someone else) based on a variety of activities that members do.

For me, the most important examples that directly affect a member are 1) to be able to post in the Marketplace, a certain number of experience points are required. 2) Another example would be in order for member's to get the colored fonts or styles added to their usernames, they are purchased via so many experience points.

You can read more about experience points here:
