Is there any hope of this site becoming user friendly before I drop dead?? I joined 9 years ago & I still don't know if I am coming or going, what happened to the simplicity of use when it created??? I guess computerese wins the day!

Hi Joe -

I'm pretty new here, so perhaps I'm off base answering a question having to do with the site as it existed in prior years. But I'm not computer savvy at all, yet I've found Nikonites to be extremely easy to navigate and post pictures to. I haven't been flummoxed at all by a "computerese" requirement here, and any questions I've had regarding things like post processing have been answered by friendly members in plain English. Can I ask what it is, specifically, that's causing you concern here? Perhaps one of the other long standing members can help you out with it.

The only problem I have had is with images not posting correctly now and then. What user problems are you having?

The bar at the top of the page click gallery

If you want to add to an existing album click my images

Then you should see your albums. just above them click upload image

Then browse and find an image on your computer and click open

Scroll down and if you use the dropdown on select category it will give you a list of your albums

Then lower down click submit.

Ok i know its not the easyist but its not that bad

No complaints here. You should see what they have done to some auto forums: Optimizing for phones and advertisers have made them unusable on desktops.

I think there are very few members who post to the gallery before sharing those images. Most tend to upload directly to their posts. Since I've never used the gallery, I have no idea how it works. Sorry but I'm really not able to be of any help in this situation.

There are certainly some bugs in the system at times, and the forum does not play well with certain browsers. I think some settings are not very intuitive and/or hard to find, but I've seen much worse.

OP, if you have certain problems that you would share, I suspect we can point you in the right direction. I can certainly sympathize, having had many problems with everything from online bill payment to email settings. It can be maddening. :)
