Upload problems

I'm trying to upload appropriatly sized files to the D500 forum with no success. The upload appears to complete but show a red disk which labels as "undefined" when right clicked. I have tried files that have previously uploaded with the same result. Any suggestions please?

When you say "appropriatly sized files" what size are you talking about. JPG with 1000 px on the long side should be what you are trying to load

I will add that I am having problems with Firefox doing that unless I use Basic Uploader. Kicking and screaming, I started using Chrome again and it works for the upload process. I think it has to do with the Adobe Flash set up which even though I have it set to Allow in FF, still doesn't work.

I'm using Firefox so that might be the issue though it has worked perfectly until now.

Mine did too and then without explanation, it quit working. I tried all of the posted "cures" to no avail. Chrome works even though I prefer FF for my default browser.

Suceeded using Chrome (which I hate), I guess the problem is with Flash which is common to Firefox and Internet Explorer. Hopefully there will be a fix soon, I really like using Firefox.

I have had this exact same problem, for the same reason apparently, for the last 6 or 8 weeks. Is changing browser the only solution?

That is what I have done. Change over to Chrome (kicking and screaming). It does work, however there is another glitch. When typing in a new message and I hit the return key, it jumps back to before the word or phrase I just typed. The work around for that is to ensure that a few spaces are placed after the word of phrase before I hit the return (enter) key.

I struggled with Internet Explorer when uploading to the forum, nothing worked and it would not load an image at all. I tried Microsoft Edge and that worked with images set to 1250 pixels on the long side.
My Laptop downloaded Chrome which I thought I would try and the forum runs really well on that and uploads really quickly.

I'm still failing to upload pictures to Nikonites with Firefox, having to use Chrome (which I do not like) for that purpose. Firefox works for all the other sites I access and it will allow me to upload text, as now with this message.

It looks like the west coast is dead for uploads. Roy is having problems and I have gotten one photo to upload in about 3-4 hours. Some photos say they are making it to 22% or 50% complete and then nothing. Tried two different ISP's to see if one service would work better than the other. No luck!

Posted in the download problem thread. Correcting that.

Let me see if I am having any upload problems here in Alabama

Not here. I have been on a continual upload mode all afternoon and finally got one to load for the weekly challenge and one on my 365. The rest have been wasted time. I think it is the same server problem we had last year with one in California.

I have no problem up here with either Chrome or Safari.

Maybe you could try flashing your DNS and try using the Google DNS. I remember a while ago I had to resort to this to have full access to the site.
