photo upload size?

Ok guys & gals, I've searched thro' the forums & FAQ's but can't find anywhere that says what size photos must be to upload into my albums? I've tried both the batch upload, flash page & the normal page, & also different photos but I keep getting a message saying the file is too big.

My photos range in size from 2mb to 3.7mb. I'm managing to figure out how to resize them in viewNX2, but don't know what size to put them to??

thanks to both of you for your replies, I've managed to upload some photos into albums, but in viewnx2, in the convert files screen i'm missing something because if i leave a tick out of the 'change image size' it grey's out both the 'long edge' & 'short edge' boxes, if i put the tick in there it only allows me to change is the 'long edge' value...???

You just need to change one and the other will stay in the correct proportions. Also remember to click "Change filename" and rename it something like Small_"the same file name as original" in other words the same file name but with the prefix "small" . Never save over your original file name for any reason. This way you always have to original to fall back on when something goes wrong.
