Contributor Status Rewards?

So, I was thinking maybe the site could give out free limited time Contributor status if people spend enough on Nikonites products. For example, for every 20 bucks spent in the store on checkout you get a week of being a Contributor with all the perks.

Obviously this is still an idea in progress but you get the idea. Might make more people want to buy a Nikonites hat or shirt and if they enjoy the privileges of being a contributing member enough they might feel the urge to donate to get them for longer.

Interesting idea! But keeping track of spending and such would be a lot of extra work I would think, when being a contributor isn't that expensive anyway. I would recommend trying a year of being a contributor, and enjoying the perks knowing your helping keep this forum going strong with your donation. Then you just figure out if it is worth it to you to continue being a contributor! :)

Well I thought that people could send an admin a screenshot of their receipt. Might make it a bit easier.

Yes that likely would help my friend! But he would still have to keep track of each person doing it and time their status before manually changing it back. As far as I know there is only one Admin here, and jdeg also has another site/forum he is keeping track of too(that I know of)! :)

But who knows, he might be game to try your idea! I'm curious to see! Lol :)

That's a better idea,

buying nikonites products is a good idea, but this is a world wide website, so could prove very expensive for some to buy items.
