Just copy your text and insert between {quote}{/quote}
(Square brackets instead of the flower brackets. It's not displaying if i use the correct brackets)
The system will pick it up as a quote

i get that too & always wondered why i get a notification when i know i quoted someone

Currently I have no way to disable that on a member by member basis - maybe in a future upgrade.
