It is good to be informed, it is silly to follow the advise of others.

    1) You need to know what you are looking for: I understood:
    - Clothing
    - to put on the internet
    2) You need to see the time you need to put it on the internet.
With quite some effort you can probably do your pictures with a phone camera. It will just be easier/faster with a DSLR.
    3) You need to adjust your budget to your workflow or your ambitions to your budget. e.g. future proof will be a lot more expensive, a little out of fashion will be reachable.

2000 => for me camera is going towards 600, lenses 600, accessories 800 I have the impression that you should have a "light installation" budget??
    D810 for 600 is impossible.
D750 is going to go over 1000.
D7X00/D6X0 is probably more in line.

On lenses, everyone has their style, so it is difficult to advise.
    For D7X00 and that subject, I would go for D7000, 35mm f1.8DX, 50mm f1.8, Tamron 90mm f2.8 + 3 flashes (old SB24 or later to set up manual) + remote trigger + stands/umbrellas/reflectors + tripod & remote = that will bring you to about 2000

P.S.: I agree the ideal is D850 (wait a few weeks) + 24mm f1.4 , 35mm f1.4, 56mm f1.4, 105 f1.4 + SB5000s etc... But that is going to be very far over 2000. I see a normal set up at 12000 for high quality product photography, without going Hasselblad. On the other hand with a D70 + SB-24s + kit lens 18-55 and some DIY a real photographer can get almost the same result, in a larger amount of time though.

I meant 2k for camera and it won't just we for website. Also we are in the premium end of our segment so photos need to reflect that. I've noticed, the better the picture the more expensive the dress fetches. So this won't cost me anything.
But my budget is not really the limit of what I can afford I just thought 2k should be enough for a used camera.

The D750 is a fine camera (I own and shoot with one) I think it is more than you need and it very professional and should do everything you need. You will need to budget for a good set of prime lenses and lighting

Indeed. This sounds about right and I'll push the boat in the lenses. This is the photos we have so far: Payals Boutique Asian Bridal Birmingham ? Payals Boutique Asian Bridal Birmingham
I'm really not happy with them, they're ok so the job kind of thing. I need this kind of thing once a month and then also a few sort of cover photos outdoors somewhere. The kind you see in magazines.

I have a D7200 and a used D700. If I were in your shoes I would by the 750. I love my 7200 but I use it more for birds and such. I like the full frame 700 for landscapes and family pictures more. The 750 and a couple good portrait lenses would work well. Of course, you still need someone to make the right settings and push the button. I still struggle with that sometimes, but I am working on that.

The D750 will do an excellent job for you. It looks like lighting and framing it what you need to work on a little but that is more a matter of taste.

Re: Need a camera and fully confused

I'm going to really start reading as much as I can about the 750 and 810 it will be one of those. The 850 I think is taking it too far plus it's abit more than I want to spend and there's no chance of finding a used one in the next month or so.
You've all been very helpful, one last request is there anything to look out for when buying a used Nikon? With cars people used to not touch a car with over 90/100 k miles but I've kept a Mercedes from new to almost 200 and it still ran great when it went. Should I be scared of shutter count being I don't know, 50k 100k? At what point should one steer clear? I was thinking to get the camera from computer exchange because of the two year warranty they give with everything they sell.

I think the d750 is the one. Next it will be lenses and lighting. This is going to be whole lot of fun.
