Great Beginners Article

I Tried the first thing that interested me , re: reading the EXIF shutter actuations , which sent me to opanda which I downloaded and executed, and yet it didn't tell me the number of actuations for either my dslr or a an unmodified coolpix image , the other link sent me to a download which first got me a japanese site which had something to with some business or other.. and then allowed me to download something which did nothing whatsoever.
So I found it to be disappointing , when actually taking the sites info to a potentially useful extent.
Yes I could search all over the place to find out what I need to know, but then , I don't really need a site , to tell me to go to another site to get an answer,, because I asked a human hoping that human would be more effective , helpful and direct than wandering into random dead ends.

Hey guys I'm still learning my camera (D5500, first DSLR, sooo much info). I've enjoyed sifting through the forums, but sometimes I was left not knowing what I should focus on. This article has been great, with many links, and even suggested order of things to focus on. Hope it helps another beginner like me
