I've been taking pictures with my D5200 for over a year or so but just mainly using the auto and other various modes (Portrait, Action, Landscape, etc.) I thought it was time to actually know the advanced settings better. I understand the concept of what Aperature is, ISO is and Shutter Speed but I REALLY want to be comfortable with it. So my local Community College has a class for 9 weeks every Wednesday for $129 bucks for 9 weeks. I'm excited to see what I can learn!

Have fun with it. I'm sure it will be well worth your time and money. You can never learn too much.

Congrats on the class. I wasn't able to find an in person class within a reasonable distance so I signed up with NYIP.edu.
So far I am enjoying it, but it would be fun to be learning and shooting with a group of people.

If you really want to improve your skill-set then formal classroom education is the way to go. Books and online videos are fine but nothing matches being in the classroom.

That is very cool. I am a little envious. They have some one day classes around here, but they are just to long for me. I have had to use a lot of YouTube, books and videos. That should be great fun and very informative.
