What I could only barely afford last year, now has been in my hands in all its glory for nice 9 or so months and made it for what I'd originally wanted a retro looking, but capable body - taking it where "no professional equipment" is allowed.

Firefly 2017, namely Busta Rhymes and then Muse. Heavy crops, but man 45 Ai-P can deliver, even wide open!

Very well done. I'd love a Df in my bag :)

Though I hardly even had to go where its capabilities truly lie and shot comfortably at all time. Will never stop wishing for the 45 to have AF as well, but at least compared to Canon's equivalent and even Fuji's ours is a sturdy beauty instead of a plastic body cap.

Never thought about it as not looking professional, but it works. The sensor is a beast in low light such as shooting dance recitals. Great way to get a hold of such a spectacular sensor at a dirt cheap price.

To security it doesn't since it's not a big bad black hulk with a huge lens and a huge flash on top. Silver on silver can easily get away as non-interchangeable camera.

Great shots, I just picked up a black DF in mint condition with just 13k shutter actuations from MPB in UK - absolutely loving its tactile operation and stunning image quality - fast becoming my primary street camera with the 50mm f1.8 lens.

Yea, it is definitely the most fun one out of all digital Nikons. While not quite that Fuji X-Pro feel of an imitation RF, not a Leica price either. I still really, really wish we had some kind of silver AF lens to go with it aside from that kinda lame 50 you could get bundled with it.

I really wonder if my black version would get the same OK from security people at a concert venue I will be attending tonight in Montreal. I'm just worried of what I'd do if they wouldn't allow it inside... I'd be using it with the 50mm 1.8 D.
Was the camera just hanging out on a neck strap when you went in? Did you have to mask the Nikon on the front, I would be really easy for me to tape it black.
It's the Df or my Fuji X-10.
