I'm curious to see how much this expedition has in common with my great newer models! The photos don't show everything like I like! Lol :)

I sure hope that those who need one can get it cheap! I would talk it up no end if it were the models I've enjoyed already, but this one looks different and they don't show the harness, padding, or quality design this bag might have!
But heck for $36.00 how can you go too wrong on a padded camera backpack! :)

I've also been eyeing the Tamrac pro 12 or the Tamrac ultra pro 13 shoulder packs! They look low key but seem to have all the good qualities I look for, though they are big for what I was needing and doesn't use a belt to hold them up! :)

True! But I think it is mainly due to being an old model. I bought one for storing my Nikon film cameras in, and I will comment once I get it and see how well it is built.:)

I would need more detail to see whether it would fit my needs...might be inexpensive for a reason.

Will do my friend! I don't know how long it will take to get here. :)

I now have two big expedition 8 and 8x model packs and one medium expedition 5 pack and now I will see what this older expedition smaller model 3 is like! :)

Yes....I have a large backpack, and would be looking for something just for a light day trip. This might foot the bill. Let me know how it goes, @Bill16

cool.....I have some small 1 camera + lens bags and a large Manfrotto 50 Backpack. It's my long trip backpack. Works great. I am seriously considering the one you posted for day trips.

PS. The photo though is from the backpack that I got a refund for! My Tamrac expedition 5 doesn't have the tape mark on it that this one does.:)

I have the Pro 12 which I use to store my gear, but it is one heavy bag when loaded. It's the largest of my Tamrac bags. I believe Rick M uses one, also. Lots of dividers to customize inside and plenty of room for gear.

I had to forget the pro 12 or ultra pro 13, due to cost and I also figured it would be too heavy for my current needs!
So I bought two Tamrac velocity 7x shoulder slide around bags! :)

Yea, I really like the pro 12, more of a traditional bag. I tried backpacks early on and never cared them for either a storage or carrying solution. The pro 12 holds everything for storage, then my thinktank systems cover portability in the field.

OK my new Tamrac expedition 3 arrived today! On first flush I was disappointed, but that was due to perks the new models have that this older model doesn't! But after some looking it over and checking out the real important things for me, I have to say it is still a great deal for what I paid for it! It is well padded with the same basically inside design with more room inside than you would expect from seeing the outside of the pack! It is brand new and that alone makes the buy even better, and had the MAS add-on places the new models have, only a little less due the size vs the bigger models I already owned!

Anyway all in all a great pack for the price! If they would have had the newer shoulder straps and padding design for your back as the newer models come with, I would have called it a real steal at that price, and would have been tempted to buy a ton for resale to make some money with! But I consider it a great deal, but just if the style fits your needs! Also I think it would be a great pack to put with a camera you maybe selling to up the chances of selling without paying much for the extra selling points! :)

So if your money is tight and your looking for a deal that covers the basics in good quality pack needs, then this pack might be just what your looking for! But if money isn't a big consideration, then you might like this pack, but I honestly believe you'll like the newer models much more!

For me the pack was well worth the price for what I wanted to use it for! I plan to put my Nikon film cameras in it, to keep them safe from damage! I haven't tried a full frame DSLR with battery grip in it to see how that fits, but I will if requested! :D
