How is it not working? I wouldn't just throw away a d90! At least take it to an authorized nikon repair shop and have them take a look at it.

I would at least have it checked buy a pro.

I had a nice Nikormat once. I learned pretty much everything I know with this cam. One day, I was shooting at a winter carnaval - the temp was like -20 deg celcius (that's under 0 F) and so, at one point, the shutter froze. In fact, it jammed so tight that it shredded inside the film... (still can't understand what happened there...) Of course, the guy at the store told me that, because it an old Nikormat, he would have to rebuild a total new shutter and that would cost somethin like 400$. A decent used F10 was like 200$ then but since I was beyond 3rd world broke at the time, I kept it as a very sad paperweight that was it.

My point is, if you have a mechanical problem, then it could cost but if it's electronics, they could just change the part; usually not super expensive and minimal labour.

Good luck - CHeers!
