Ok...try this with your D90 for IR

Easy steps. First, compose your shot then screw on your IR filter. Set the WB preset to the cameras built-in incandescent setting and take the shot. Then here is the tricky part (not really). Use that picture you just took and use THAT as your WB. I did just that. Below is an image I did. I opened up PS and if you notice to your right, you can drop the temperature down to 2000K. Thats below what your camera can do. After I dropped the temp, I did just a straight channel swap. Thats it. You can play with what suits you better. Hope this helps on the road to IR :) Shot at ISO 200 @18mm for 5 seconds in incandescent preset for the original picture. _DSC0002.jpg
