For those so inclined, B&H has new Import D90 for sale on its webite as of a few minutes ago. Just under $800 with the 18-105 lens.

But then this is more expensive than the D7000 with the 18-140 that was advertised at BestBuy.

I recently nosed around on line for a new D300S and most folks who had them listed on special for $1600 range NOS.

Really?

D90 nice piece of kit tho, still real nice IMHO.....

I still enjoy using my D90... Now I just keep that around for any shots where I need a lighter camera and if and when I plan on taking any long exposure shots.

Sad to say....but my D90 is on the back seat since I got the D610...but that camera will always hold a spot in my heart. And I still keep the batteries fresh...just in case.

Would you rather have it or your D7000?
I don't know if it's because of the lenses I was using, but at times I thought I was getting less out of focus or motion blurred shots with the D90. Overall, I think the D90 is a more forgiving camera that I would still strongly recommend to someone just getting into photography.

I also believe that way. The D90 rendered skin tones and colors absolutely beautifully. Something that even though the newer cameras with their higher MP and dynamic range just don't seem to match. They are not wrong, but sometimes not quite as good as that older sensor. Just something about that D90 really instilled a lot of confidence for me as my first dSLR.

And here's a good example of that great skin tone. :)
