Firmware Updates

I am new to the world of DSLR and just purchased a Nikon D90. I was wondering if someone in the group can give me a link where I can go to check for Firmware updates from Nikon. I undestand that there is a Firmware update for the D90 is that correct? If so what does the Firmware update do?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Thanks for the update that there is not currently and firware update for the D-90. I looks like I camr to the right place to ask my question.

When there are Firmware updates where on Nikon's site do I go to get the updates?

The portion of my initial reply that is in red and underlined is a link that when you click on it will take you directly to the Nikon firmware update page. Sorry if this was not apparent. You can also create an "account" with Nikon USA here: Find Answers and register your Nikon products online. Doing so, you will also have the option of being automatically notified by Nikon if there are any firmware updates, services advisories, etc. for any of the gear that you register.

It is a testament to the excellence of the D90 that it is several years old and still has not had a firmware update. Gives me some comfort :)
