Hi,

How to autofocus with af-button in silent photography mode?

I want to shoot from the hip with the screen flipped and I don't want to focus touching the screen since it gets fumbly. I try to shoot some street photography with my D850 even though its a big camera. Shooting from the hip in silent mode takes the -in your face- problem away.

Thanks

Ben

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

You need to setup the D850 for Back Button Focus...

Then simple tilt your screen up and turn on Live View so you're looking down at waist level and simply press the Back Button to focus...
