card slot function

with my D800E i set my primary (cf) card to RAW files and secondary to JPEG. from what I am reading I can create JPEG images from the raw images in camera. If that is the case i should probably use the secondary as overflow. Any opinion on this would be appreciated.

Most people who use the second card slot for jpeg do so in order to have a backup in case the main card malfunctions.

I always did it that way since my CF cards were larger and faster than my SD card. I always shoot RAW and JPEG fine.

I started using raw to one card, jpegs to the other because it was the handy-est way to hand off images. Raw is better but not every situation warrants the processing time and effort it takes to do the conversion ex camera. But I always format the cards the moment they come back to me. Knew a guy infected his laptop when the "art-director" (lo caps on purpose) had a virus in a game on hers. "Oh I didn't know it was there." Likely hadn't run a scan in some time either. Grrr!

I want to delete my input as much as possible (see Z7).
