Do you have a lower serial number than me?

I got my D850 on September 7th when they came out. It was a fluke, I had just talked to the camera store manager the day before about getting the camera. He called on the 7th to say he had one in stock, well you can imagine the rest. Anyway, my serial number is 246, and the camera works perfectly. Does anyone have a lower serial number, and has anyone encountered any quality control issues with the early batches?
just curious.

I am in 5002XXX.

The X's are numbers, just figure I will keep that private.

How many have they shipped?

IT IS THE HOTTEST SELLING CAMERA ON THE MARKET! In Toronto, every camera store has a waiting list, last I checked.

The camera is a brilliant design with stunning features.

It falls woefully short, however, on PP software. You are forced to go to either Lightroom or DxO Photolab, both packages of which couldn't shake a stick to Nikon Capture NX-2, when it was around. This is a MAJOR FAIL, in my books.

Capture NX-D, which of course is compatible .... in one word.... SUCKS.

Did a software update and NX-D overwrote NX-2 on my laptop. Are you certain NX-2 is not available? Maybe somebody's got it on CD?

Capture NX-2 can still be purchased.

It is NOT supported. Just so you know.

Nikon D850 files are NOT compatible with it at all. You have to export to a TIFF, then save as a jpg, if I am not mistaken, then open in NX-2. Convoluted MESS!

Every Nikon Digital body I've purchased (too many really) has included a software suite.
My carefully considered and experienced opinion would be - UGH. Nikon makes pretty good cameras and lenses, not so good software.
So the loss of NX2 in favor of NSX is not a big deal to me. Kind of curious tho.

I'm not offended. Adobe Photoshop is my all time favorite computer program. I paid over $700 for it in the past, just for one version without updates. Now it's $10 per month and I get all updates.
