Unloaded D850 and XPro2 images from family Todo this weekend. Still have tweaks I need for D850 setup. Will see if 24 mp vs 47 is all that obvious to me.

Steep learning curve ahead. I've got to master the AF setup and choose lenses carefully. . My 17-35 is only so-so (knew that) and the new 24-70 focused on the fence behind the subject (!) drat it all.
Also eyeballing IRIX 11mm as an ultra wide. One situation I've encountered (fenced-in wood burning 18xx loco on display) might be nice to shoot, but maybe not? Don't know if I have another use for that wide/manual lens.

Still climbing the learning curve. One thing I have down pat - this thing is a beast.
Once't upon a Time and in a former universe I earned my eats toting a 6x6 SQ Bronica for a living. My left shoulder had a permanent list to it. I really believe this 850 is as heavy, maybe even more so!

Last night my son-in-law was shooting the D600 I gave him after I upgraded. When I was viewing a the pics on the back, I was surprised how quickly I hit pixelation now that I'm used to the D850 level of detail.
I've really got to try my 7000 next to the XPro2 and the D850, same scene. Nah, I'm not that motivated
In the meantime ... 23.15# for the whole kit. Oh my aching back.

21.9 # now. I took out some Xtra "stuff", mostly the Platypod + ball head. I'll package that in it's own kit.
