JPEG (cropped) Straight out of the camera, no noise reduction or any other adjustments.

I still have not had enough time to experiment thoroughly with the D850 and do side-by-side comparo shots with the D800. Later.

I did spend an hour shooting headshots of a friend, but I made a lot of mistakes and in some of the best shots the focus was not right on the eyes. I was using AF-S, lock and recompose, but the slightest body movements by me or the subject are so visible in these high resolution images. Today I bought Steve Perry's (Backcountry Gallery) book about Nikon AF systems. Hoping to find a good way to lock eye focus.

Aim single point on the eye, don't move/have subject move haha. Else, how about that 20k ISO in say a dim basement? It wouldn't look bad outside in the sun no matter what.
