Rumor: Nikon D850 and D760 Coming This Month?

I hope the D850 is the same sensor as the Sony A7RII and the latest Expeed processor. I'd buy that. But, for $1k less per this rumor, I'd get the D760 if the high ISO delivers without noise.

I wonder whether the D760 will finally be the finished product in this product line. The D600/D610/D750 oil splatter, dust problem, mirror box flare issue and shutter failure has been going on for too long and it is ridiculous. Let's hope the fourth time is the charm!

In the worst case this will be the new beta version with the same debacles all over again like in The Groundhog Day. :p

Funny. Guess I'm lucky as I have the 600 and 750 and both have been problem free. Call me a fanboy, 'cause every Nikon I've owned since the FM in the '70s has been rock solid.

Those still owning a broken device after several visits to service and months of waiting are surely rolling on the floor laughing too.

No thanks.

Speak for yourself. I had a D600 with lots of problems and currently am having problems with my D750. I'm not laughing at the comment by @singlerosa but I do find I laugh quite a bit at your ridiculous accusations. ;)

If the D760 is the new baby D5, I guess that should officially put an end to the D600/610 line unless they just need a cheap way into the full frame space.

Since you don't seem to own any of these cameras you might need to quit insulting the ones of us that do own and love them.

I still love my Dolly, even after the problems I had with her. It's just one of those cameras that you can't help but love. The way she feels in your hands, the beautiful clean images and the colors that she gives me.
I have yet to experience this same connection with "what's her name " yet.

D610, -0- problems, D750, -0- problems, but sent it in for the shutter replacement anyway, worked great before then, actually seemed to work better after. D810 -0- issues. I see a lot of people who knock the D600/610/750 for the issues the bodies had who have never owned any of them - makes me shake my head. They're tools, fun shiny objects that do great things but in the end, tools. But if you've never owned/used the tool in question, why put criticize something you've never touched?

Anyway to the rumor at hand....

I won't get either a D760 (or equivalent) or a D850 (or 820, or whatever) because I just got the D810 and am beyond thrilled with it so far. If Nikon can make a mini-D5 (full frame) that performs like the D500 does (which I also own) and appeals price wise to a broader range of professionals then great...I'm good for a while. :D

Unless I hit the lottery - then all bets are off.... :D

My D750 does so much so well it's going to take a whole lot more than a few incremental upgrades to even turn my head, much less get me to reach for my credit card. I took myself out of the *Equipment Race a while ago, choosing to focus on more intangible aspects, like technique instead; and it feels good. Real good.

*Does not apply to Sigma Art series lenses.

I wish I could give you a best answer for that comment!
