Will Lenses be okay with D3200-D810?

In a leap forward, I'm thinking of buying the D810 body to replace my D3200 body. But with 6 lenses, I'm wondering will they all fit the new 810? Any info gratefully received.
Cheers!

Well all your lenses are DX so they will work on the body BUT will have severe vignetting on the outside.

If you are wanting to go up to full frame you would need to invest heavily in glass, you will be looking at a full replacement of your kit ...

Well yes, technically speaking they will all "fit" but... If these are DX lenses you have, then your D810 (an FX body) will want to use those lenses in DX Crop Mode. When I made the switch from DX to FX the idea of using my DX glass to hold me over I thought was a good one. As it turned out, I couldn't get FX glass on my D750 fast enough.

Absolutely.Start with a 50 or a 60mm using them on your 3200 and carefully review what focal length you most often find yourself using and pick zoom lens up accordingly.

You will be severely crippling your FX camera by using DX lenses on it. You quality would be better sticking with the DX camera. Spend your money now by upgrading your lenses to all FX lenses and use them on your D3200. You will get better quality on your D3200 and once you have the glass you need then upgrade the body. That is what I did and it was worth it.

Going from a D3200 to an D810 is a heckuva leap.
Have you considered getting a D7100/7200 to use as a stepping stone to the D810?

You're not going to enjoy shooting those lenses on a D810. The moment you upgrade one, you can't wait to get rid of the rest.

This is an example of what the useable part of a DX lens provides on an FX camera. The lens is a Tokina DX 10mm fisheye. The camera is a D800. Other than cropping the second photo, they are not enhanced. While you lose picture volume, the loss of quality is far less noticeable. The fisheye is an extreme, but I wanted to show the very worse-case scenario.

If it were me, I'd get the D810 and start with the Nikon 50/1.8 and be very pleased.

I agree with the others that you won't be happy with your existing lenses on FF, especially the 810. When I added a D600 to join my D7000, I thought that at least my Tokina 11-16 would be OK at 15-16mm. But it sucked. Luckily, I had been acquiring FF lenses over the years (50, 70-300, 80-200), so I didn't have to start from scratch. I dumped my 17-55 and 11-16 and replaced with FF equivalents. Still haven't replaced the 18-200, which I also sold.

There are plenty of great D lenses available used to get you started that won't break the bank, and, as mentioned, a 50 1.8 is cheap if you don't mind zooming with your feet.

Be careful. The Nikons without an AA filter like the D810 are able to resolve crazy amounts of detail. Make sure the lenses can keep up with the camera.

Set up the D810 for crop frame mode for use with your existing lenses, and as time goes on, start adding FX lenses to your collection.

Going from your D3200 to an 810 is a heck of a leap, but I leaped from a D40 to a D800 in almost no time at all and equipping with FX lenses has cost me much more than the camera did.

FX means "I commit to spending large amounts of money".

Okay, thanks everyone. In the interests of sensibilities I'll look at the D7200. I've learned a lot, thank you all.

Thanks @Zeke_M . I hadn't considered the DX cameras you mentioned but that's typical of me. I dive right in and pay the price later. ;) So I sat at the computer and compared cameras. I settled on the 7200 (paid a bit more than I wanted to) and I'm about to read the intricately detailed manual. It's nice not to have to think about new lenses, although I'm already thinking about another lens! LOL

You're welcome.

Look into a couple of used/refurbished primes.

When I upgraded to a D7100, I bought the 50mm f1.8 AF-D ($90) and the 85mm f1.8G FX ($320) lenses. Both used. I already have the 35mm f1.8 DX lens.
I have to use my feet a lot but the primes give me the best bang for the buck. Makes up for my mediocre skills as a "pitcher taker".

This is just me saying it, but the moment I became aware of the difference between DX and FX cameras and lenses, my upgrade path became totally obvious: Upgrade to FX, because for me, that is the only true upgrade that mattered.

I'd do it all over again, too. If tomorrow I found that everything I owned had vanished but my D40 and kit lens, I would be seeking a D810 and FX lenses immediately. No question about it.

I also have that attitude, "If you're going to be a bear, be a grizzly."
