There are often times that I wanted to share some images but it doesn't apply to some of the categories here. Feel free to share your images taken with your D800/E here to consolidate them. It might be helpful if you can include the lens used.

So let me start it by sharing an image.

Flower shot with the D800E with Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 @ 60mm, f5, 1/50, ISO 500

the primary issue with posting anything to the web, that the reduction of image size is the great camera equalizer. In reality, a D70 picture can post just as nice as a D800 for the image size required for the computer graphics.

When you calculate the pixel reduction ratio from the D800 to the web image, almost mind numbing how much data is just thrown away.

So, lots of the real world Print differences just even out.

So,, the web posts are more a true test of composition, exposure/dof control, and post editing skills. which for critique sites a very good thing, since you are not really knocking anyone for owning say a D70 versus the latest generation SLR, and great for flikr, facebook etc, but not great for showing the true value of the best FX SLR in the world (ok,, that is my opinion).

Nice golf ball shot, like the way the background bokeh looks relative to the golf ball.

Good way of putting it ;)

Show off! ;)

I love Trade Shows!

On a serious note, I sat in on a number of great seminars, the most notable was by Pro Photographer Jim Schmelzer on how to set up portrait lighting! Best hour I have ever spent in regards to photography, glad I went.

Mine too, but only if you add 100 pounds and 3/4 of my life's income :(

YIIKES!

They don't warn you when you are young and foolish of the consequences of marriage, do they? There is no manual, no Marriage for Dummies, no DPReview. Pretty much, you roll the dice and like at the Casino, the odds are stacked against you.

You have my sympathies, I lived through a bad divorce through my sister, no thanks. Not for me.

As my wife of 30 years puts it, the only way out for me is in a box. :tongue-new: Not necessarily through natural causes!!!! :black_eyed:

Problem is, no one would listen. I certainly didn't, but I am happily married. However, all around me is a totally different story. And, divorces all work out nasty! Nothing is every done amicably, that I can see.

There is a lot to be said for Pre-Nups. No contract, no marriage.

Add some kids into the equation, OMG!!!

Car, what car? :p

It was just some junker painted in a matt finish. It wasn't anything special, I don't even remember the model. I think it was like a souped up Honda or something.

I had to look at the picture again to even remember what booth it was, I think it was something SONY was doing. Just shows you how effective booth babes are!!!! ROTFL
