I am sending my D800E away for repair and went through the Nikon website.

Nikon UK where great when i returned a lens a few months ago,i expected problems as i wanted it returning to my local dealer,this is the response i got,it was a recall but a couple of years late in me sending.

Ooo...good luck with that. If they have to sent to Japan for parts, not sure how long you might have to wait. That earthquake caused some damage in Japan. Nikonpup had to wait a while for his parts to come in during a recent repair.
