Remote Control Mode (ML-L3) Turns Off

The setting for the Remote Control Mode (ML-L3) resets to off every time I turn the camera off.

Is there any way to get it to stay on the setting selected?

Many thanks!

Try the i button for quicker access to turn it back on. It is a battery suck and will run your battery down quickly if left on. If I pour a cup of coffee and set up on the bird feeder for some lazy morning pictures, I will just snap a picture every 10 minutes or so to keep the function alive for another 15 minutes.

A better solution, IMO, is a cheap RF remote, particularly since you no longer have the limited line of sight thing for the IR. I have a couple Vello Freewave Plus remote triggers that I can set so they either act in concert with each other (fire multiple cameras simultaneously) or independently. A little more money but a lot more flexible - and zero battery suck. I've never used the regular Vello Freewave, but if you have no need to do more than trigger the camera as is it's $39.95 on Amazon.
