Buttons on left hand side

Is there any way of locking the buttons on the left hand side of a D7500 ?
The reason I ask is that I have had a few photos where the white balance has been way off.
This is because my nose has been pressing the buttons. I may have a big nose but there must be a way of locking them to avoid accidental pressing.

cheers

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

There is no way to lock these buttons that I am aware of. Have you considered a nose job? :cheerful: Frankly I believe you would have the same issue with most models of Nikon DSLR. I think you best bet is to be aware of what's happening and train your nose to behave itself.

Of course I had to try this on my d7200. Surprisingly, I was able to press the white balance with my nose. I found it a little unpleasant though. I took note of what I do. My head is turned more to the left and my eye is turned to the right with the camera gently pressed close to my face. This allows my nose to poke off to the left side of the camera and not hit the buttons. I'm wondering you are are tensing up and holding the camera tighter to your face than need be. Sometimes I do brace the camera against my face for some added stability, but the point of contact is my right eyebrow against the top of the viewfinder. As usual, my nose is trailing off the left side of the camera. If I'm in a rush and my eye glasses are in place, I might just look straight in the viewfinder and keep the camera away a little bit. I'll miss the outer edges of the frame but its better than turning my head and trying to look through the edge of my glasses. You'll find your way.

You’re right eye dominant. Suggest you try using your left eye ... I find the worst is greasy nose marks on the LCD but at least no settings change

I always use the touchscreen to take pictures, I never thought of using the viewfinder but I never try to take perfect pictures either.
