Congratulations on the new camera. Nice captures. Look forward to hearing what you think as you go forward and get use to it.

I just bought one two weeks ago and love it also. I had a D90 before and the D7500 is light years ahead of the D90. I'm having to catch up to the new technology!!

Hello, I'm thinking about upgrading my D90 and considering the D7500.
My D90 serves me well but I didn't realise just how much technology has moved on so much since I bought it almost 10 years ago.
Thinking back to your D90, what things did you notice the most after getting your D7500?
I hope the upgrade will produce significantly better images when viewed on my 4K UHD TV

NIKON D90 | AF S NIKKOR 16 - 85 1.35 - 5.6 G ED DX VR | AF S NIKKOR 70 - 300 1:4.5 - 5.6 G ED VR
AF S MICRO NIKKOR 105 1:2.8G N ED | SB-600 | SB-700 | Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 | Manfrotto 804RC2

Although I don't have the D7500, it will definitely offer better images than a D90. The sensor is larger and has more pixels. That will offer a lot more detail, but on the flip side, if you tend to shake a little while pressing the shutter, you will probably notice a slight amount of blur. So the larger sensor isn't quite as forgiving as the D90's sensor. You will be able to use a much higher ISO than the D90, too, without getting so much noise like the D90.

What types of subjects do you like to photograph?

If I do decide to upgrade I want to set realistic expectations but I imagine that with technology having moved on so much since I purchased my D90, the improvements will be quite noticeable.
I get a lot of pleasure from taking shots whilst touring Europe on annual holidays where colourful and unusual shape buildings and unfamiliar scenery immediately capture my imagination.
I shoot using the highest settings on the D90 (fine, large format) in jpg format.
When I get home, I enjoy compiling digital photo albums with backing music, animation and filters etc for viewing on my 55" UHD TV.
In the end, I want to get the best possible image quality when viewed on the TV screen and that is what has got be thinking about an upgrade.

I think you will be impressed with the jump to the 7500 but, given your target, I think it would be a good idea to rent the camera body and see what you think. You do not mention the lenses you have. Depending on what you have you have you may want to look at FX or if they do not have a built in focus motor you may want to consider a D7200, the D7500 does not have a drive motor.

Just some added food for thought.

Rumor has it that Nikon might not be making the D3x00 or D5x00 series bodies which means the D7500 would be its entry level body. Some of the features found on previous versions of the D7x00 are missing from the D7500 (such as dual card slots and no Nikon grip as an option). But supposedly the D7500 has the same sensor as the D500. So the image quality should be on par with the D500; however, the D7500 lacks many features of the D500 such as a much slower buffer rate for sports/wildlife. Image quality should be awesome though. :)

I got this camera mainly because of its multiple exposure options and Im shoxked to know that I cant use liveview for multiple exposures. Its not that advanced a feature and I hope they fix it in future updates
