Shutter count showing as multiplication of two

Hi,

Recently I have purchased a D750 camera and I do shutter count test. I observed that, shutter count showing me as multiplication of two.

I upload my first photo to shutter counting online website and I observe for my first photo it shows shutter count as 2, for my second photo it shows shutter count as 4 and for my third photo it shows as shutter count 6.

Why is the issue. Is there any fix ?

Welcome!

Are you using Live View? Live View will give you two shutter accusations per image. Firs the shutter is raised for the Live View then it closes and opens to take the picture.

Needa gave my best guess. Anything else going on? HDR mode? Anything that opens the shutter will add a count. Listen to a shot being taken and try to hear if there are any extra shutter clicks.
Even if you enter live view but don't take a shot, you get a count. So if you were testing out the camera live view function, you could add some counts.
