Test Post
I've found this site frustrating so far. Not sure what is up with that so after joining as a Contributing Member, paying my money, not getting a confirming email or being able to get past the Paid Subscriptions page no matter which link or button was pressed (including Contact Us), writing two posts, and a New Member Introduction, I am resorting to a Test Post to see if I am subjecting myself to any more frustrations.

I just joined last week, and like you I did not get a confirming email either (or word if the free lens cloth is forthcoming...not that that's a big deal, but still). However that was the only discrepancy I've had on my own end.
I think what's happened in your case is that recently the site has been experiencing technical problems; no one was able to post pictures, site links were down, and sometimes the entire site could not be accessed. It was very frustrating for all involved, but it looks like most if not all of the issues have been resolved in the last day or two.
I could be wrong, of course, as I'm just a newbie myself as I mentioned. But why don't you give it another shot and see you if meet with more success this time?

As I mention in an email, I manually activated your other account. Sorry for the confusion!
FYI, to everyone else - this happens when a new member contributes when registering their account, but the account isnt activated. The activation email was probably filtered by a spam filter somewhere.Marilynne Thanks/liked this post

Thank you so much, John. From PayPal, after sending money, I hit their 'Return to Vendor Site' button (or words to that effect) and from there I was stuck on the Paid Subscriptions page no matter what I clicked on. This is mentioned only as a help to the problem statement if the issue and linkage with PayPal can be corrrected/streamlined. I will check my Spam folder for the message. Thank you very much for manually activating that account.
