    Re: Hopeful for a D760(?)

My D750 is a proven workhorse extraordinaire and I have zero interest in anything else currently on the market, mirror-less especially.

If the "D760" turned out to be to a stripped-down D850, meaning a 24MP (36MP max!), dual-slot body using SD or CF memory while upgrading to the "guts" of the D850 (e.g. the magnesium body, Expeed 5 processor, 153 AF points, backlit buttons) it would get my consideration... But that's a pipe-dream.

My deepest wish is for Nikon to release a 700/800 series camera body aimed at the still-life photographer. They have all the right ingredients, it would just be a matter of putting them all together in a single package while leaving off superfluous crap like 4K video. This too is a pipe-dream, and I know it.

I would trade all the video capability of my D750 for back-lit controls/buttons. Who knows... maybe I'll start shooting video at some point, but I bought the D750 as still photo camera. I'd rather have more still photo features and improvements rather than any video capability.

    Stay sharp,

I'd also love to see the guts of the 850 stuffed in the body of a 750. Pretty sure I'll pick up a z6 at some point strictly for a travel cam, as I need to keep the 750 (or upcoming 760?) for reliable action shooting. Also love to see the buttons lit and a deeper buffer.

D760 is likely the last replacement of D750. Nikon shouldn't hold anything back.

The improved big battery makes me wonder if it will still be an EN-EL 15 battery. All my bodies share the same size battery which makes it convenient.
