Imagine late evning at 2100 in Bethel Alska just now. Sun has just set, the darknes is coming, the bright spruce forest is getting dark. With asa 400 you get 15/2.8 you are shooting with 60 mm. I set my d750 at asa 1200 and all Auto and got this; I am no photgrapher, but I have never in my 40 some yrs of shooting flowers had any camera that got this image of a bunch or flowers in the dark evenings, I have thrown away all. Supremacy both AF and exposure measurements??

Case, which is best small topploader for my d750 with the 24-120 and nothing else, when I am walking 8 hours mountain trip with a large Osprey backapack and my alaskan husky in a belt in front of me. Must be fast in out no hazle bag.

The D750 is a beast and the 24-120 is a very capable lens and is great for a walk around lens.

I see you are from Norway. My best friend that lives here in Alabama (USA) is in base camp in Svalbard working off an ice breaker shooting Polar Bears. He shoots Canon but we like him anyway.

Case? The ThinkTank digital holster V20 works well for me with the 24-120 attached. The beauty of the case is that the bottom can be unzipped so that it will also fit larger lenses (even comes with a rain cover). But, I really only use the case for storage purposes at home and on travels. When I have a backpack involved, which is basically always, I simply use the Peak Design capture pro. Clips to whichever backpack strap you want and I can unclip it in a second. You don't have to mess with any extra camera bag that way.

I have a Think Tank Retrospective 20. It is a shoulder bag. It is really well thought out and has tons of space. I have looked at and bought a bunch of bags. I am now a Think Tank Customer. My bag holds my D7200 or D700 with a grip and a 70-200 mounted. It may be more than you need. But they detail what will fit, which I had trouble finding. You might just want to look at what they offer. https://www.thinktankphoto.com/

Think Tank Digital Holster 20 V.2
Of course, it had to be that one. I have also the T T Retrop. 5 - five - which is a tad small for d750.

But with the dog in harness attached to me in a long flexi line and on me a broad belt AND a Osprey backpack, I couldnt add any bag type bag as retro 5 .
All the sudden I got aware of them holsters and soon a 20 was bought :)
Havent tried it out in the fields yet, but it is perfect!
It holds the d750 and my 24-120 very tight, and nothing else, which was what exactly what I wanted, I have my gear (Nikkors 60 macro 18-35 and 70-300) in the rucksack.

I have owned that Capture Pro. It did not work with me on long trips, had to ditch it /leave it home They said the bottom plate was compatible with my Manfrotto, but it wasnt
Instead I bougt the Clutch, that one might solve some others issues, like the camera strap getting tangled in the sub shrubs :)

OK,
Then I see this harness might be a bad choice. And that my dealer, one of Norways largest photo eq store, might be wrrong about the harness

I cannot have this riding on my hip ............... it has to be on my chest/ belly

Like so;
