I think today is THAT day

I have been contemplating upgrading from the D7100 to the D750 for about 6 months now. Well, it's Father's Day weekend, I'm at work bored and I happened to pull up B&H's website. I see a D750 package for $1500 including battery grip. I guess I am just looking for my fellow Nikonites to give me the go ahead to make the purchase. Is there any reasons not to pull the trigger?

As long as the kids agree to reimburse you then go for it.

I tried to get mine to agree last year. They grinned, looked at each other, and handed me a tie.

Let's look at this logically... First and foremost everyone agrees that owning a D750 makes you a better person. And since your family deserves the very BEST father you can be; it's only fair to them you pull the trigger on this deal.

Only one question? Do you have Full Frame lenses? You really do not want to use the DX lenses on your D750. They will work BUT the D750 defaults to the DX mode and when that happens you are better off shooting with your D7100.

If you have the lenses then the D750 is fantastic. I went from the D7100 to the D750. Best thing I have done in a while

I have the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 and the 70-200 f2.8. I'm hoping that will cover me for a while.

Well, I did it a little while back (Kept the D7100, however). I was told when the 750 arrived, I looked like a little kid at Christmas. I think I was. Ha!

I think you have the consensus you were looking for. Time to pull the trigger and thank the family for the great Fathers Day Gift!

Wait, so a MIB 750 is but 1500 now? Same time, as reluctant as I am to upgrade the 600 until it literally keels over, that price range has the limited xpro2 and that little bugger is just as tempting.

I'd say go for the 750 if that's the price today!

I told my daughter that I wanted a 70-200mm VR II and she said if I can find someone to trade me one for the card she got me go for it! Kids today got no respect!

The justification I use for getting that must have lens is "I really need this lens dear, because nothing else can capture your rare beauty that you deserve"

Have a whole stack of fast quality lenses with 2 consecutive live-in girlfriends, works every time;>) The best part is that it is true.
