I don't think my d7200 refurb came with one. Who keeps track of those things anyway? ;)

They do not ship from the factory with a hot shoe cover.

I have to agree with Jake on this one. You would have thought that in 4 years Nikon might have changed their ways. Ha! I have to admit that I looked and relooked numerous times for the hot shoe cover in the packaging. My other Nikons all came with it and I assumed the D750 would too. Not a deal breaker, but I do use them religiously. May have to look into getting one from someplace. Ha!

Yep, see the link Horoscope Fish posted from back in 2014. Nikon is pinching pennies it looks like.

I buy stuff like that in lots of 10 on FleaBay for like........ two bucks.

I checked out your story, and sure enough there are tons of hot shoe covers on eBay. Here's something more interesting: hot shoe covers with built-in bubble levels!

Edited: Tried to post the link but it said "Access Denied", so just search eBay for hot shoe covers and you will see the $2 covers with the green bubble levels.

I do if it is the hot shoe cover, but the view finder cover has never been used. A rag or something else works as good as the view finder cover for that and is easier to use. Ha!

Walt, I bought some with the bubble from this link on Amazon. Amazon.com : FOTYRIG Camera Flashlight Hot Shoe Bubble Level for Canon Nikon Panasonic Fujifilm Olympus Pentax Sigma DSLR/SLR/EVIL Camera -Pack of 4 : Camera & Photo. I do not care as much about the bubble as the fact that these stay in place. The OEM just would fall off.

Yep, I bought a pack a while back and use them on all of my cameras with shoes :)

Skip the ugly useless bubble versions.
